Q: A new IBM ThinkPad X60 1706 battery, how should it charge it?
A: The first time,You should charge it 8~9 hours continuly.Do it for 3 times as a circle, which will wake up the new battery.
Q: I always use External power supply, Should I put the battery out or let it inside the laptop?
A: If you use external power supply for long time,you had better get it ouy. It may increase the times of charge and discharge when you use external power supply but not get the battery out.Then it would reduce your battery lifespan.Besides,It is a more heavy burden for Notebook cooling system.
Q: How to keep it if I do not use it for long time?
A: If you are not going to use it for long time.You should keep it about 50% power.Then get it out to a Dry and cool.Prevent Exposure, Damp, Liquid chemical erosion.Avoid Battery contacts and metal,because it may happen the occurrence of a short circuit. Abandoning it for long time will make lithium-ion lose activity.We suggest charge and discharge for 3 times one month.
Q: Should the laptop power off or on when charges.
A: It is OK.Generally, the one who is power off charge faster than who is power on.But when your laptop is power on,do not put the Adapter out. Because it will increase the times of charging.
